| The Richland Medical Center was built in 1962. The new clinic in 1962 combined the successful medical practices of two local clinics serving the Richland Center area. The clinic staff was comprised of five physicians from two separate clinics. Dr.Taft and Dr. Spear from one clinic and Dr. Housner, Dr. Pippen and Dr. Parkes from the other. In 1965, they were joined by Dr. Meyer and Dr. Kelertas. In 1967, RMC welcomed the addition of The Edwards' Clinic, also of Richland Center. This brought Dr. Edwards Sr. and his son Dr. Richard Edwards, Dr. Glise and Dr. Tydrich. Today, Richland Medical Center is located in a new and spacious facility adjacent to the Richland Hospital. The clinic can provide services that surpass many which are twice its size. Currently there are more than 23 providers available for our patients. Specialists from area hospitals also are available for your specialized medical needs. Spring of 2007, the Center Creek Professional building was opened. This is the remodeled old medical Center, on Seminary Street near the golf course. This will house the MRI services, and the Geriatric center for the Richland Medical Center. We have strong community ties and are major annual sponsors for G.R.A.C.E. (Cancer research fund raiser), Occooch Bike Festival and other area events. The staff of the Richland Medical Center are often visible in area events and fundraisers for their families and interests.
