Dr. Stephen J. Delventhal is a Board Certified General Surgeon. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. |
He graduated from New Jersey Medical School in Newark , New Jersey and did his internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. He lives in rural Richland Center . He and his wife Cheryl are very active in the community and his church. His hobbies include traveling, and numerous outdoor activities, including managing a family farm with his wife Cheryl.
Dr. Delventhal, is available for appointments, Monday through Thursday. Check with your insurance if you need a referral, from a primary care physician. |

Dr. Thomas Beck, is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon. He is also the director for the Richland Hospital Sports Medicine Department.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston, graduated from Medical School at Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery Internship and Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Texas - Houston.
Possessing a strong interest in sports medicine and having developed a sports medicine program in Spirit Lake, IA, Dr. Beck is directing the Richland Sports Medicine Program. His abilities make it possible for local athletes to stay close to home for orthopedic procedures. As a result, the athlete’s recuperation and rehabilitation may be expedited. In addition, Dr. Beck is experienced in working with sports acceleration programs and high intensity training.
Dr. Beck and his family live in rural Richland Center. He is active in their school activities, and interests. You will often see him on the sidelines at area sporting events.

Dr Beck practice includes most areas of bone and joint repair and treatment:
- Joint repair and replacement: knee, hip and shoulder.
- Fracture care and surgery.
- Sprained & Strained ligaments, and muscles.
- Arthritis.
- Dislocations.
- Sports medicine and athletic training programs.
- Note: he does not do surgery or treat backs or spinal injuries.

Gynecological Surgery & Procedures

Gynecological Surgery and C-sections are availabe from Dr. Delventhal , our OB-GYN, Dr. Nancy Rich. and Dr. Balink. Many of our family practioners can also provide some gynecolgical procedures and biopsies.

Dr Nancy Rich, is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Rich, graduated from Medical School at University of Chicago, Chicago Illinois. Surgery and OB-GYN residency at Northwestern University, Chicago Illinois.
She and her husband Dr. Barry Rich, recently relocated to rural Richland Center. They both have practices at the Richland Medical Center. They are often at area events. She enjoys many outdoor activities, swimming, and needlework.
Dr. Rich is available for appointments Monday through Wednesday. Please check with your insurance if you require a referral from your primary physician.

Facilities & Staff

Many procedures can be done in the clinics procedure rooms by both Dr. Delventhal and Dr. Beck, and Dr. Rich. When neccessary the proceedure is scheduled at the Richland Hospital outpatient department or surgical suites.
The Richland Hospital has recently remodeled the surgical wing of the hospital. State of the art equipment is available for your care. Many procedures that once had to be performed in neighboring urban hospitals are now conveniently performed here. Staffed 5 days per week and as needed when an emergency arrives at the hospital. The doctors and the hospital staff are on call 24 hours per day.
